What is Soft 3?
Soft 3 is a mid-capacity water softener designed to reduce calcium and magnesium minerals in hard water, helping minimise limescale across the property.
Is Soft 3 for drinking water?
No. Soft 3 is not a drinking-water filtration system. It is designed to soften water by reducing hardness minerals. For drinking-water filtration, it may be paired with Flow 2 or Flow Xs depending on the property setup.
Where should Soft 3 be installed?
Soft 3 is best installed in a utility area, water room, technical room, laundry area, garage, or other location where the main water line can be accessed.
What type of property is Soft 3 suited for?
Soft 3 is suited for homes, villas, and properties with moderate water demand that need stronger softening capacity than the compact Soft 2.
What does Soft 3 help protect?
Soft 3 helps reduce limescale build-up in plumbing, taps, showers, water heaters, washing machines, dishwashers, and other water-connected systems.
How does Soft 3 work?
Hard water passes through a resin bed, where calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged with sodium ions. The resin is then periodically regenerated using a brine solution.
Does Soft 3 need salt?
Yes. Soft 3 uses salt for resin regeneration. Salt levels should be checked and topped up as part of normal maintenance.
